Season Guide

FROM Season 2

MGM+ dropped the premiere on at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. You get 10 episodes, one Sunday at a time, and enough cliffhangers to ruin your sleep schedule on purpose.

The bus rolls in, the tunnels swallow Tabitha, and Boyd comes back wrong. Season 2 is the chaos season: more mouths to feed, more theories to weaponize, and a finale that yeets Tabitha into the real world while the town keeps screaming.

Why this season refuses to let you look away

Hope wears thin and tensions run high as a busload of unsuspecting newcomers arrives in town. Season Two will explore just how far the residents of this nightmarish place are willing to go to find answers, even as chilling new threats to their safety and their sanity begin to emerge.

The Grand Rapids Runner bus delivers Marielle, Randall, Elgin, and dozens of other strangers while Boyd crawls out of the forest carrying Martin's parasites. Sara's return splits Kenny and Boyd, Dale stabs Ellis on a night run to the clinic, and Fatima's pregnancy test turns positive. Then the music box spreads a stay-awake curse, Randall breaks the RV window, Boyd destroys the box to wake Julie, Marielle, and Randall from their comas, and Tabitha travels through a farway tree to a tower where the Boy in White pushes her out a window. She wakes in a Camden, Maine hospital three days after being found on a hiking trail.

When the episodes actually landed

Ten straight Sunday drops on MGM+ in the US, April 23 through June 25, 2023, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. No mid-season gap, no mercy. The premiere kicked off MGM+'s Halfway to Halloween event alongside other genre debuts.

MGM+ renewed Season 3 on June 29, 2023, four days after the finale aired. The trades framed escape as finally feeling possible, which is Hollywood code for "we are not letting you leave."

Cast and arrivals: pick your fighter

Love, morphine, and bad timing

  • Marielle SinclairKaelen Ohm arrives on the bus as Kristi's girlfriend and instantly becomes the emotional fuse for half the season. Her withdrawal arc and the cicada coma tie the newcomers to the town's cruelest game yet.

Conspiracy with a drone

  • Randall KirklandA.J. Simmons plays Randall like a walking Reddit thread with a knife. Jim recruits him for escape experiments, the town pays in panic, and the music box night proves some allies cost more than enemies.

Dreams that draw themselves

  • Elgin WilliamsNathan D. Simmons makes Elgin the quiet prophet of the bus roster. His dreams sketch the Brundles and the kimono woman in the bath before the town admits the visions are real.

The driver who saw it coming

  • BaktaAngela Moore's Bakta warns the newcomers before Donna shoots out a tire, and her nursery rhyme later stitches two nightmare phrases into one clue. She is proof the bus was never random.
