Season Guide
FROM Season 1
EPIX dropped the premiere on at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. You get 10 episodes, one Sunday at a time, and enough cliffhangers to ruin your sleep schedule on purpose.
One wrong turn, one RV flip, and suddenly your family vacation is a horror anthology with no checkout line. Season 1 is where Fromville introduces the rules: lock the doors, hang the talismans, and do not trust the forest after dark.
Why this season refuses to let you look away
The series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest, including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.
The Matthews crash into town and never leave the loop. Boyd explains talismans and Colony House, Sara follows instructions that cost lives at the clinic, and Victor keeps drawing the Boy in White before Ethan ever meets him in the woods. By the finale Jim's radio reaches a voice that knows his name, Tabitha falls into the tunnels where Victor says the creatures sleep, Boyd is pushed through a farway tree into a well, and a Grand Rapids Runner bus pulls up to the diner while the jukeboxes play on their own.
When the episodes actually landed
EPIX dropped three episodes on launch night, February 20, 2022, then went weekly through April 10. Episodes 1 through 3 hit together; 4 through 10 landed Sundays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. If you only remember one date, remember the triple premiere, then pace yourself.
EPIX renewed Season 2 in April 2022, roughly two weeks after the finale. Trades reported the premiere as the network's most-watched original series launch to that point. The bus cliffhanger was not a goodbye. It was a subscription trap.

Cast and arrivals: pick your fighter
The voices in the diner

The kid who should not be there
- Boy in WhiteVox Smith appears across five episodes as the pale figure in Victor's drawings and Ethan's sightings. He points Sara toward a farway tree in the finale while the lighthouse horn blares over the forest.
The longest memory in town
- Victor KavanaughScott McCord's Victor is only in five Season 1 episodes, but he carries the oldest scars: farway trees, grave digging, and the tunnel paintings that prove this place had victims long before the Matthews arrived.
